What’s ahead for us in 2021
2020 was definitely a year no one could have predicted. Travel didn’t look like we thought it would, neither did work or school life. It was a unique year for sure. You may have noticed I haven’t really published anything in 2020, I’ll explain why in this post looking ahead for us in 2021.
Usually in this post I will preview all the trips we have planned in the coming year. Well, we don’t have much planned for 2021. We will be “traveling” but not like before. The pandemic taught us I could work effectively remotely. My husband already worked remotely. The pandemic also brought us virtual school. Those things together meant we could work anywhere. As a result, we bought a house in the Orlando area of Florida. With remote school we can be located anywhere and my son can still get an education. All the signs were pointing to us purchasing a house this year in Florida. We will still have to experience cold days in Michigan plus the lovely Michigan summer, but now we can also experience central Florida and we all couldn’t be more excited.
As you saw, there weren’t really any blog posts published this year. In the beginning we did a little traveling and were just so busy with work. Then the pandemic happened and we were in the depressed slump like so many others, tightly secure in our homes. Then the second half of 2020 had us purge our items from our Michigan house so we could downsize it. I had items from when my son was a baby even though we had no plans to have more children. We had a basement just full of stuff. I feel like we never dealt with it because in our down time we were always traveling or getting ready to travel. (Little tip friends- purge in advance so you aren’t doing years and years worth all at once when you decide on a whim to sell your house!)
In 2021 we plan to spend a significant amount of time at Walt Disney World. I fully intend to publish more dining reviews from the perspective of a gluten free eater traveling with gluten eating family. (We all need to be happy!) We also intend to try out some new experiences at Walt Disney World as well as in central Florida that we will discuss throughout 2021. What would you like me to cover?? What do you want to read about?? I want to hear from you. Either comment below or send me an email. Be well and we will be talking to you soon!
